In December 2004, she was injured in Thailand by a tsunami resulting from the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake; her then-fiancé, photographer Simon Atlee, was killed in the tsunami. Brittany Anne Murphy-Monjack (November 10, 1977 – December 20, 2009), known professionally as Brittany Murphy, was an American actress and singer. She starred in films such as Clueless, Girl, Interrupted, Nikki, Spun, 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Sin City, Happy Feet, and Riding in Cars with Boys. She voiced Luanne Platter on the animated TV series King of the Hill. Her final film, Abandoned, is expected to be released in early 2010.

Brittany Anne Murphy was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 10, 1977. Her parents, Sharon Kathleen Murphy and Angelo Bertolotti, divorced when she was two years old, and Murphy was raised by her mother in Edison, New Jersey, and later in Los Angeles, where they moved so Murphy could pursue an acting career. Murphy said her mother never tried to stifle her creativity, and she considered her mother a crucial factor in her later success: "When I asked my mom to move to California, she sold everything and moved out here for me. … She always believed in me." Murphy's mother is of Irish and Eastern European descent and her father is Italian American. She was raised a Baptist and later became a non-denominational Christian.

Murphy had two older half-brothers, Jeff and Tony Bertolotti, and a younger half-sister, Pia Bertolotti.

She was in a band called Blessed Soul with fellow actor Eric Balfour in the early 1990s. On June 6, 2006, Murphy and Paul Oakenfold released the single "Faster Kill Pussycat," from the album A Lively Mind. The song became a club hit, and hit number one on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart.It also hit number seven in the UK singles chart in June 2006.

She dabbled in music again with the release of the film Happy Feet, in which she covered Queen's "Somebody to Love" and Earth, Wind & Fire's "Boogie Wonderland."

Murphy starred in Wheatus' video "A Little Respect" alongside actor Shawn Hatosy. She also appeared in the music video for Luscious Jackson's "Here" and Tears for Fears' "Closest Thing to Heaven."

In late 2002, Murphy began dating Ashton Kutcher, her co-star in Just Married. Once engaged to talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz, Murphy became engaged to Joe Macaluso in December 2005, a production assistant she met while working on the film Little Black Book. In August 2006, they ended their engagement. In May 2007, Murphy married British screenwriter Simon Monjack in a private Jewish ceremony in Los Angeles. For the last three and a half years of her life, Murphy, her mother and Monjack lived in the same house together.

At 08:00 (16:00 GMT) on December 20, 2009, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to "a medical request" at the Los Angeles home Murphy and Monjack shared. She apparently collapsed in a bathroom. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate Murphy on the scene. She was subsequently transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:04 after going into cardiac arrest.

Shortly after her death, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the Associated Press: "It appears to be natural." An autopsy was performed on December 21, 2009. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as "deferred". On February 4, 2010, the Los Angeles County coroner stated that the primary cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. The drugs ingested were all said to be prescription medications. Further details on the drugs involved are due to be released when a full report is published.

Murphy was buried at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on December 24, 2009.

Despite the debunking, in 2006, Irish magazine The Dubliner published the nude photographs and stated they were of Nordegren. On November 16, 2006, Nordegren filed a libel suit against The Dubliner. Nordegren won the lawsuit, and as part of the settlement accepted by a Dublin court, The Dubliner was required to publish a lengthy apology in a variety of venues. Were the magazine to have failed to meet the conditions, the award would have been increased to $366,500 plus all of Nordegren's legal expenses.

On June 18, 2007, Woods announced the birth of the couple's daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, a day after finishing second in the U.S.Open. On September 2, 2008, Woods announced they were expecting another child in late winter.Five months later it was announced that Elin had given birth to a boy, Charlie Axel on February 8, 2009.

In December 2009, her marriage to Woods was the subject of extensive media coverage after Woods admitted to infidelity, which had been revealed following his one-car accident near the family's Florida home. August 24, 2009 - Another Venezuelan bagged the crown this year. Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela stepped up and won over other 80 contestants in Miss Universe 2009 today.

She won 2008 title during a pageant held in Caracas, Venezuela last September 10, 2008. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Dayana Mendoza. Fernández also won the “Miss Elegance”, “Best Body” and “Best Face” titles during the beauty peagent.

She became the second Miss Trujillo to win that title since the Miss Venezuela pageant began in 1952. The first was Bárbara Palacios, Miss Venezuela 1986 and Miss Universe 1986. Stefanía is of Ukrainian, Galician and Polish origins. She plays tennis and swims as a hobby.

Amanda Tapping (born 28 August 1965 in Rochford, Essex) is an English-born Canadian actress and producer. She is best known for portraying Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. She is currently starring as Dr. Helen Magnus in the Sci Fi Channel series Sanctuary.

After graduation Tapping continued to study theatrical arts while performing in several stage productions. Her first television appearance was as a contestant on the UK game show Blind Date in 1991, since which she has become a familiar face on British television. Holden is well known for her role in the ITV drama Wild at Heart as Sarah Trevanion. She is also known for being a judge on Britain's Got Talent alongside Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell. Acting career

Holden has appeared in several stage musicals and in 2004 was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the West End production of Thoroughly Modern Millie[4], which closed because she wouldn't take a pay cut, even though the rest of the cast had all agreed in order to keep the show running.

Her most recent TV appearance was in the ITV1 drama Wild at Heart, alongside Stephen Tompkinson. The first series aired in 2006 and a second series followed in early 2007. Series three ran from 20 January to 9 March 2008, after which Holden left the program.

Holden's other TV credits include three series of the hit comedy Kiss Me Kate alongside Caroline Quentin, three series of the ITV comedy series The Grimleys, Celeb with Harry Enfield, the critically acclaimed BBC series Hearts and Bones alongside Damian Lewis, the Jonathan Creek episode "The Problem at Gallowes Gate" and a Boxing Day special Marple alongside Geraldine McEwan and John Hannah. Growing up, Stam was a 4-H member and showed dairy cattle at the Jackson County Fair. According to Pageant.net, Stam made history as the first Hoosier to win a triple crown in the same pageant system starting at the local, state, and national levels.

She returned to the local level in 2005 and won the title Jackson County Jr. Miss, taking home more than $9,000.00 in college scholarships. Following in the footsteps of one of her predecessors, Deven Waymen, Stam became the second young woman from Jackson County to win the Indiana Jr. Miss title and advance to the last televised America's Jr. Miss Scholarhip Program. Stam finished the competition as 2nd runner-up, securing another $20,000 in college scholarships.

In November 2007 she won the local Miss Duneland title (Michigan City, Indiana). She competed in the Miss Indiana pageant for the first time, in June 2008. At the conclusion of the final competition was crowned Miss Indiana.For her state talent she performed "Art is Calling Me".

During the Indian Ocean earthquake of 26 December 2004, Němcová was at the Khao Lak resort in Thailand with her main photographer and fiancé, Simon Atlee when the tsunami struck where they were staying. Initially, Atlee was presumed missing, but his body was found and identified on 3 March 2005, on the shores of Sumatra (near the epicenter of the earthquake that caused the Tsunami).

Atlee drowned, and Němcová suffered a broken pelvis and serious internal injuries, but she managed to hold onto the top of a palm tree, reportedly for eight hours, until she was rescued by Thai civilians and airlifted to an inland hospital nearby.[4] Petra spent three weeks in a Thai hospital, and then flew home to the Czech Republic, where she spent an additional three weeks in the hospital. Atlee's body was not found until over two months after the tsunami. Němcová's first interview after her near-death experience was with Diane Sawyer on ABC's Primetime Live, on 9 March 2005. She has also spoken of her experiences on the Larry King Live program on CNN.

Happy Hearts Fund

In 2005, Němcová started The Happy Hearts Fund, a charitable organization and campaign formed after her survival and recovery from the Tsunami of 2004. It aims to advocate and provide for disadvantaged youngsters who have had to endure hardship and who are not receiving the essential and sustainable help they need for healthy childhood development. It actively partners with charities, donors and foundations committed to providing immediate, tangible assistance for children.[5][6]

Crawford was born in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Jennifer Moluf[1] and John Crawford. Crawford's trademark is a visible mole (or "beauty mark") above her upper lip. She is so closely associated with this physical feature that she appeared in an advertising campaign for chocolates featuring commercials wherein she "licked off" her own mole. During the beginning of her career, the mole was removed from many of her earlier modeling pictures, including her first Vogue cover.

Lene (born Lene Grawford Nystrøm on 2 October 1973 in Tønsberg, Norway) is a Norwegian singer, who is best known as the lead vocalist for pop-dance group Aqua.[1]

During her teenage years Lene developed an interest in performing and began her adult life as a barmaid and model.

During the Aqua-days she had homes in both Norway and Denmark.

The relationship between Lene and Søren Rasted is rumored to be one of the many reasons Aqua disbanded in 2001. Originally Lene was dating Rene Dif. Then she dated Søren.

Lene married Søren on August 25, 2001. After the marriage Lene moved to live permanently in Denmark. On November 6, 2004, she gave birth to a daughter, India. The couple welcomed their second child, a boy named Billy, in 2006.

Aqua

In 1994 Lene was spotted by René Dif singing on a cruise ship. He approached her and she became the lead vocalist for the group which was initially called Joyspeed, later re-named Aqua. The group consisted of Lene, René Dif, Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen. In their prime, Aqua managed to make the singles chart top ten in a number of countries where European pop acts would not normally succeed. She would remain with the group until 2001 when they split up due to personal differences, including a relationship between Lene and Søren Rasted. In October 2007, the band told the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that they're coming back.

She began her career at age three as a Ford model, and also made appearances in over sixty television commercials, including spots for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O (opposite Bill Cosby).
